Caplin & Drysdale Welcomes Jill Goldman to Exempt Organizations Practice
Caplin & Drysdale is pleased to welcome Jill M. Goldman as an Of Counsel in the firm’s Exempt Organizations and Corporate Law practice groups.
Ms. Goldman counsels businesses and nonprofit organizations on the protection, enforcement, and management of their intellectual property rights, with particular emphasis on trademark and copyright matters. Her practice also includes advising clients on complex and sophisticated commercial transactions and licenses, legal risk mitigation, corporate compliance and governance, advertising, marketing, and social media-related issues.
For over 20 years, Ms. Goldman served law firms, corporate (private and public), nonprofits, and associations as an in-house corporate generalist specializing in intellectual property and managing all aspects of maintenance for an intellectual property portfolio. She also regularly negotiates and drafts a wide range of corporate agreements including intellectual property rights. She has extensive experience prosecuting applications for registration of marks in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office covering a variety of industries. She is an active member of the International Trademark Association where she has held leadership roles and spoken at events. While in law school at University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce School of Law, Ms. Goldman served as President of Law Students for the Arts, an Executive Member of the Moot Court Board and was a BMI/Cardozo Entertainment Law Moot Court Competitor.
