Alec Schwartz joined Caplin & Drysdale in 2025 as an Associate in the Complex Litigation and Bankruptcy practice groups.

Services

At Caplin & Drysdale, Mr. Schwartz advises individuals and corporations on all aspects of litigation at both the state and federal level. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on bankruptcy litigation.

Highlights

Prior to joining Caplin & Drysdale, Mr. Schwartz clerked for Judge Karen Henderson at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He also practiced bankruptcy and restructuring at an international law firm. At Columbia Law School, Mr. Schwartz earned the John Ordronaux Prize as the graduating class valedictorian and served as a Staff Editor on the Columbia Business Law Review. As a fellow for the Davis Polk Leadership Initiative, he crafted a permanent program by which Columbia Law students could provide legal services to indigent and at-risk veterans. Mr. Schwartz came to the law after serving as a U.S Air Force Special Tactics Officer where he led special operations forces across multiple deployments.
