Mary Abigail B. Dos Santos Named Chair of the Private Law Librarians & Information Professionals Special Interest Section of the American Association of Law Libraries
Caplin & Drysdale is pleased to announce Mary Abigail B. Dos Santos (Abby), the Firm’s Manager of Library Services, has been named Chair of the Private Law Librarians & Information Professionals (PLLIP-SIS) Special Interest Section of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). Ms. Dos Santos started at the Firm as a Reference Librarian in 2013.
Having held various PLLIP-SIS volunteer positions, Ms. Dos Santos is honored to serve now as Chair of the PLLIP-SIS Executive Board. “I feel privileged to be able to lead the PLLIP-SIS Board this year and work towards achieving our strategic goals of promoting the value of our members, expanding their presence in the legal industry, enhancing professional development opportunities, and fostering recruitment and diversity within the field”, said Ms. Dos Santos.
Since its establishment in 1977, the Private Law Librarians & Information Professionals Special Interest Section (PLLIP-SIS) of the American Association of Law Libraries has grown to more than 1,300 members across the United States. The original mission of the PLLIP-SIS is to “improve the quality and service of private law libraries by emphasizing the goals, needs, and special interests and to represent its members’ interests and concerns within AALL.”
