Caplin & Drysdale is excited to announce that Amanda Tomack has joined the firm as an Associate in the Tax Disputes & Tax Litigation practice group. Ms. Tomack advises individuals and corporations in all types of tax controversies and litigation with the Internal Revenue Service and other tax authorities.

Prior to joining Caplin & Drysdale, Ms. Tomack served as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Tax Division where she worked as the lead attorney in numerous federal cases in courts across the country focusing on civil tax matters and bankruptcy litigation. Her practice included preparing and responding to discovery, leading evidentiary hearings, reviewing settlement offers, and engaging in motion practice. Before joining the Department of Justice, Ms. Tomack served as a law clerk for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in the Landlord and Tenant Division. During law school at the American University Washington College of Law, she served as the Articles Editor for the Sustainable Development Law Policy Brief.
