Caplin & Drysdale Welcomes Josiah Child to Its New York Office

Caplin & Drysdale is pleased to announce that Josiah Child has joined the firm as an Associate in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Child's practice focuses on transactional tax matters.

Mr. Child has advised businesses and high-net-worth individuals on a variety of domestic and international tax matters, including the tax aspects of:

  • mergers and acquisitions by domestic and foreign investors, in public and private transactions;

  • investments in real property, including through the use of REITs, for private investors and sovereign wealth funds;

  • complex financing transactions for domestic and foreign investors and multinational financial institutions; and

  • the formation and operation of joint ventures, hedge funds, and portfolio company structures for private equity funds.

Mr. Child was a member of the University of Chicago Law Review.  He graduated the University of Chicago Law School with honors and is a member of the Order of the Coif

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Child practiced at an international law firm in New York City.
