Political Law Senior Associate/Of Counsel – Washington, D.C.

Caplin & Drysdale is seeking a Senior Associate or Of Counsel attorney to work in our Political Law practice group in our Washington, D.C. office. Applicants must have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in political law, preferably in a law firm or in-house counsel capacity.

Our Political Law group is a nationally recognized practice that advises major corporations, trade associations and advocacy groups, including nonprofits, political committees, and candidates on the complex web of federal, state, and local campaign finance, “pay-to-play,” ethics, and lobbying rules, as well as on the Foreign Agents Registration Act and similar state-level laws. This position may also provide an opportunity to work with the Firm’s Exempt Organizations practice group; advising nonprofit organizations on political law matters.

All applicants must have strong academic credentials, excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work as a team player under deadline pressure.
