WASHINGTON, D.C.—July 23, 2014: With its two founding members, Caplin & Drysdale – one of the nation's premiere law firms – commemorates the Firm's legacy of excellence with its 50th anniversary celebration in 2014. Mortimer M. Caplin and Douglas D. Drysdale formed the Firm in Washington, D.C., in 1964, and since then, the Firm has evolved into a trusted institution providing legal services of the highest caliber from its offices in D.C. and New York City. The Firm is recognized as one of the country's top boutique practices, with an outsized global footprint. Caplin, founding member of Caplin & Drysdale and former Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson. His co-founder, Douglas D.
