Meghan Federman joined Caplin & Drysdale as an Associate in the firm’s Private Client Group in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Federman practiced corporate law at an international law firm in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Federman provides comprehensive and personalized estate planning advice to high-net-worth individuals, their families, and family offices to help them grow and protect multi-generational wealth. She specializes in working with corporate executives, principals of private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds, business owners, and entrepreneurs to develop business succession plans consistent with their values and objectives. Ms. Federman’s experience includes developing customized estate plans for clients designed to take advantage of tax minimization opportunities, assisting with trust and estate administration, and structuring business succession events to meet her clients’ personal goals for wealth transfer.
Highlights
Ms. Federman earned her law degree from Harvard Law School. During law school, she served as President of the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project and was a member of the Board of Student Advisers. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Federman taught biology and genetics through the Teach for America program.
