Elihu Inselbuch's testimony before House lawmakers was featured in an article by Law360. Mr. Inselbuch testified on February 4, 2015 at a hearing concerning the FACT Act and the transparency of asbestos claims. Mr. Inselbuch's testimony sided with House Democrats who denounce the bill as a defense-side intimidation tactic to limit liability. For more on the story, please visit Law360's website.

Caplin & Drysdale's Elihu Inselbuch, who has worked with the plaintiffs bar in major asbestos bankruptcies since the Johns-Manville Corp. reorganization, echoed arguments by Democrats opposing the measure, saying that the move would needlessly pry into the private information of mesothelioma victims.
He argued that defendants exaggerate accounts of plaintiff fraud as a tactic to limit liability, while Democratic lawmakers including Rep. Hank Johnson of Georgia argued that defendants would not extend their own calls for transparency to the asbestos settlements the defendants insist on keeping confidential.
