International Tax Associate - Washington, D.C.

Caplin & Drysdale seeks a mid-level tax associate with 4-5 years of technical tax experience to join our International Tax practice group in our Washington, DC office. Ideal applicants will have an LL.M. in taxation, substantial experience in international tax, transfer pricing, partnership tax and/or transactional tax issues, intellectual curiosity, and practical problem-solving instincts. Applicants having experience with privately held businesses/high net-worth individuals, as well as public companies, will be given additional consideration.

Candidates will collaborate directly with Members of the group on a wide range of substantive business and international tax and transfer pricing matters. Projects generally will include planning and advisory work for public corporations, privately held business, individual, and foreign sovereign clients with respect to cross-border business transactions and investments, and may also extend to pre-immigration or expatriation planning and cross-border compliance matters for such clients, purely domestic transactions, treaty interpretation, and APA/MAP work. All applicants must have strong academic credentials, excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work as a team player.
