Caplin & Drysdale Names Josiah Child Of Counsel to the Firm

Caplin & Drysdale is pleased to announce that Josiah Child has been named Of Counsel to the Firm effective April 1, 2021. Mr. Child is a member of the Firm's Business, Investment & Transactional Tax practice group.

Mr. Child focuses his practice on transactional tax matters. He advises businesses and high-net-worth individuals on a variety of domestic and international tax matters. Some of those matters include the formation and operation of joint ventures and portfolio company holding structures, inbound investments in U.S. real property, and outbound investment by U.S. taxpayers through controlled foreign corporations, partnerships, and other vehicles. Mr. Child also handles pre-immigration tax structuring for high-net-worth individuals planning to become U.S. residents, complex financing transactions for domestic and foreign investors and multinational financial institutions, and mergers and acquisitions by domestic and foreign investors.
