Date: 10/12/2012

Caplin & Drysdale's founding member, Mortimer M. Caplin, was recently profiled by THIS for Diplomats, a nonprofit volunteer organization that welcomes and assists diplomats and their families during their stay in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Caplin, Chairman of the Advisory Board for THIS, was noted for his ongoing commitment to the organization which he has been a member of since 1964.  Referred to as a "DC law legend," Mr. Caplin was also cited for his many contributions to tax law, including his tenure as the Commissioner of the IRS and his years as an educator at UVA and NYU.  We are pleased that Mr. Caplin continues his more than 70 years of legal practice at the firm he created.  Please click the above link to read the full profile.
