Adam L. VanGrack is an associate in Caplin & Drysdale's Washington, D.C. office. He joined the firm's civil litigation group in 2005.
Mr. VanGrack has extensive experience in complex state and federal civil litigation matters at both the trial and appellate levels. At Caplin & Drysdale, Mr. VanGrack focuses on a broad range of complex civil litigation, including the representation of asbestos claimant constituencies in large-scale Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, personal injury litigation, fraudulent transfer litigation, and securities and financial fraud litigation.
Prior to joining Caplin & Drysdale, Mr. VanGrack assisted in the representation of a number of corporate clients regarding environmental regulation and litigation, insurance defense, antitrust violations, and general commercial litigation. Mr. VanGrack further worked on a broad range of environmental litigation issues as an attorney for the Interdisciplinary Environmental Law Clinic of Washington University. He also spent time as a clerk to Federal District Court Judge David R. Herndon of the Southern District of Illinois. Prior to his legal practice, Mr. VanGrack worked on environmental and domestic issues for U.S. Senator Paul S. Sarbanes and Vice President Al Gore.

Order of the Coif and
Order of Barristers . While at Washington University School of Law, he was the Executive Articles Editor of the
Washington University Law Quarterly.
Mr. VanGrack currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bethesda Center of Excellence and is a former U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifier in Whitewater Kayak Slalom.
