An Order of the Coif graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, Arianna Caldwell joined Caplin & Drysdale as an Associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office after participating in the Summer Associate Program in 2014 and 2015.
Ms. Caldwell’s core practice focuses on serving the legal needs of U.S. and international corporate clients in matters involving tax planning and tax controversies, such as double taxation and transfer pricing. Her practice also involves counseling individual clients with domestic and global assets on strategies to minimize their tax obligations and to stay in compliance with U.S. tax authorities.
Nominated by her peers and faculty, Ms. Caldwell received the 2016 Rosenbloom Award, established by Daniel Rosenbloom ’54 to honor students with strong academic records who significantly enhanced the academic experience of other law students by volunteering support and assistance. She is also the recipient of the 2016 John M. Olin Prize in Law and Economics which recognizes graduates who produced outstanding work in the field of law and economics.
A member of Virginia Law Review’s Editorial Board, Ms. Caldwell served as a peer advisor for the LL.M. Section and as a member of the Virginia Law Women’s Society and the Virginia Law and Business Society. She was previously an Assistant Account Executive at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, a public relations firm, where Ms. Caldwell was a member of Microsoft’s public relations team specializing in crisis communications.
